Good stuff to know

    • We make using 100% soy wax­, with no wax blends/paraffin, palm oil or additives like hardeners.

    • Each candle is scented with our in-house natural perfume blends made from 100% essential oils.

    • We never use lab-made synthetic fragrances often green-washed as ‘plant-based’ fragrances; theres no ‘French pear’ or ‘leather’ scents here! Our candles are as pure as burning essential oil in an oil burner!

    • We use 100% cotton wicks for a non-toxic burn. Trim those wicks each time to avoid smoking, blobby ends.

    • Votives are in printed glass vessels, which can be washed and repurposed as a vase or pencil holder. Tins are reusable too, just wash out and pop out the wick!

    • Candles come in unbleached card packaging which can be repurposed or recycled.

    • All scented products are made using pure essential oils, absolutes and floral hydrosols. These ingredients come straight from REAL flowers + plants!

    • All scented products contain our own in-house natural perfumery, which is the craft of blending pure, plant oils into layered, natural perfumes.

    • No animal products/palm oil/ ‘lab made’ synthetic fragrances often greenwashed as ‘plant based’ here!

    • No alcohol/preservatives are added, we keep our blends true to nature, and as irritant free as we can!

    • We design all our textiles in-house, and we have them zero-waste digitally printed locally, in limited edition runs.

    • Textiles are printed on unbleached pure flax linen, all cut and sewn all in-house, with scraps made into small things like scent pillows!

    • Wheatbags + eye pillows are filled with Australian-grown wheat and dried petals.

  • We advise consulting a doctor before using any products containing essential oils. Pregnant + breastfeeding women should avoid exposure to essential oils.

    Please note: all products are made in a studio where there are known allergens which can affect some people, these are listed below.

    ALMOND OIL: Lip balms contain almond oil, so those with nut allergies should avoid.

    WHEAT: our wheatbags and eye pillows contain Australian-grown wheat, so those with gluten allergies should avoid.

    ESSENTIAL OILS: check our ingredients list on each product to ensure there are no particular allergens.

    SAFETY WHEN HEATING YOUR WHEATBAG: as each microwave is different, we advise heating your wheatbag in increments of 30 seconds to check the heat, and ensure it doesn’t overheat and catch fire! Never use a smoky/scorched wheatbag, and be mindful with children as they feel heat more.

    CARE OF WHEATBAG: Spot clean and air dry the wheatbag as the organic contents may get damaged with immersion in water.

  • We proudly hand make all our products with natural ingredients at BON LUX. We aren’t manufacturing in a factory, so sometimes you might find slight imperfections...these aren’t faults, just quirks!

    Candles are hand-poured, 100% soy wax, and sometimes the new candle surface is uneven or have the odd bubble which disappears during the burn. Don’t worry about it!

    Bath salts contain no anti-caking agents/preservatives and should be used within a few months of being opened, and stored away from water. Salts fade if kept in direct sunlight, but this won’t affect them otherwise. Just use them! Enjoy them!

    Lip balms: White areas may appear due to the coconut oil hardening at a different rate to the rest of lip balm, as it resets after melting in your pocket on a hot day!

    Bubbly bath: can get cloudy/extra bubbly during transit, or very cold temperatures, and will become clear again…don’t worry!

    Scented goods: may smell slightly different batch to batch, due to plant variations, caused by weather, harvest etc. We love this about using natural ingredients!

    Shelf life: We advise storing BON LUX products away from direct sunlight + heat, for 18+ months shelf life.

  • Orders are typically wrapped & packed within 1-2 business days, maybe longer during busy periods.

    Freight is via Australia Post or Sendle, at our discretion

    Express Shipping is wrapped, packed & dispatched the day the order is received, using the fastest freight available. Please note; Australia Post & Sendle can take between 1 - 5+ business days to deliver. We DO NOT guarantee next day delivery.
